With two albums and two previous mixtapes under his belt, Tone is by no means a newb in the rap game. The Iraq-born rapper released his latest mixtape Angels and Demons back in January and since then, he’s been releasing a series of music videos that go along with the tape. Tone, who was raised in Detroit, started making music at the age of 13 and names 2Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, and Eminem, who some say he reminds them of, as some of his biggest influences.

In 2008, Tone got the chance to work with Sean Kingston and Young Noble from The Outlawz, both of whom ended up featuring on Tone‘s songs. On the performance front, Tone has opened shows for Trick Trick, Kevin Lyttle, and Canadian artists Karl Wolf and Massari. Besides rapping, Tone also produces music and has worked with the likes of Royce Da 5’9, Big Herk, Swifty McVay from D12, and Slim The Mobster. Tone has even appeared on American supermodel Tyra Banks‘ talk show, The Tyra Show, after remixing the show’s theme song.

Tone‘s goal is “to become a successful Hip Hop artist and producer in the music industry and to make music that people will still listen to for years to come.” His mixtape Angels and Demons is available to download for free on thisistone.com/music.
